Meet Amy
With a customer-centric approach to business, Amy Cimetta measures her success by her clients’ satisfaction. “It’s about putting my customers first. I get a clear understanding of their goals and then I set a plan in action to achieve them. It’s about communication. I keep them updated on the market, the competition, negotiation tactics, pricing strategies, and buyer and seller psychology. It’s about feedback. I ask for input and reactions, ensuring that I am meeting my clients’ needs. It’s about empathy. If I truly understand my clients’ perspective, I can better represent their interests. It’s about a work ethic. Ultimately, I am committed to exceeding my clients’ expectations.”
Amy’s family background in real estate taught her to appreciate the value of owning property. “My grandfather bought hotels and office buildings. My father even grew up living in one of the hotels! My parents continued the tradition. They purchased fixers that they renovated to rent out and eventually sell. They applied the same concept to the homes we lived in. They found good deals, and improved on them to build equity and future value.”
Amy’s career has roots in sales & marketing. After graduating from Tufts University, she worked in advertising sales for 4 years at the flagship publication, PC Magazine, and subsequently, Computer Reseller News, while simultaneously earning her MBA in Marketing & Communications from Fordham University. Her clients included Dell and Texas Instruments.
She relocated to southern California in 1998 where she worked in ad sales at Variety, the #1 entertainment trade publication. as an Outside Sales Rep and Director. She built relationships with the talent agencies and helped craft their advertising strategies. In 2003, she was recruited to a theatrical design agency, Faction Creative to spearhead their sales, marketing and business development efforts, bringing in new clients including Sony, Newline, HBO, and PBS.
In 2006, Amy decided to start a new adventure, building her own business in the real estate industry. Her strong foundation in sales and marketing, significant client management skills, experienced negotiating, and storytelling experience from the creative industry, armed her with a comprehensive set of skills to find great success in real estate. She hing her Broker’s license with RE/MAX Estate Properties and in March 2018 moved to Vista Sotheby’s Intl Realty.
In an effort to maintain the highest level of service, Amy is committed to continuing education. Along with her MBA in Marketing & Communications, she has multiple Real Estate designations, and she regularly attends seminars and classes to keep up on the latest market trends and technologies. Her background in sales and account management has fine-tuned her negotiating and customer service skills.
It’s the combination of all these elements that enables Amy to skillfully handle each real estate transaction. Her acute attention to her clients’ needs and a creative yet strategic approach to each property she sells, sets her apart. Her clients are thrilled not only with the financial results; they appreciate the experience and Amy’s ability to minimize stress by providing thorough guidance, allowing them to make the best decisions for their situation. “Buying or selling a home is a huge financial and emotional endeavor. I’m honored to work with people during one of the most important events of their lives. I can’t imagine doing anything else; I love what I do.”
When not selling real estate, you can find Amy on the beach playing volleyball; playing with her dogs Cali MaryJane and Max; volunteering with LA Works; rooting for the NY Yankees, spending time with friends and family. She is determined to one day play the guitar although she claims to be tone deaf.
She managed the sale of my house swiftly. Anytime there was an issue to be resolved, she worked to get successful outcomes. My confidence in her abilities grew stronger with each phase of the selling transaction.
After interviewing other realtors, what impressed me about Amy is her awareness and understanding. A professional who is always a genuine human being. I will be hiring Amy for any future real estate transactions.
Amy showed keen insight. The business acumen she displayed exhibits no limits. A constant bright light through the entire process. Her team of professionals are smart and savvy. Personable and understanding. They listen. Always timely and aware with positive attitudes.
Amy was prepared, informed and responsive. Her intelligence and skill were obvious assets. Amy is gracious and prompt in all of her
communications, both with me, lenders, buyers and workers.
Amy Cimetta defines professionalism.
Thank you Amy !!
.
Recently, my parents decided to move into assisted living so Amy helped us list and sell their beautiful home in Manhattan Beach. In a slow market, we received an offer close to asking within a few weeks. Amy knows the market, has great advise on how to best prepare a home for sale, has dependable and reasonably priced referrals, and keeps the process moving smoothly. She truly cares about her clients and I couldn't have done this without her! I highly recommend Amy and definitely wouldn't make a move without her!
Throughout this process, Amy visited our property 8 times. She was there for every inspection, she scrutinized all the reports, made up her own lists of improvements/fixes we needed to do, worked with us and our contractors to make sure they were completed, and checked them again. She was always punctual, courteous, helpful and very thorough. The buyers entrusted her completely and focused their time and efforts in planning changes they wanted to make after getting the possession of the property.
We have bought and sold 6 properties in 5 states and have dealt with over 100 real estate agents in the past 45 years. I must say Amy is truly an exceptional, hard-working agent and is a gold standard in an industry that is full of mediocre people who have very little or no experience, training or the desire to help their clients. Amy’s professionalism, attention to detail, thoroughness in everything she does, and commitment to doing the very best for her client stands out as the qualities you look for in any profession, but they are so rare in the real estate business. She is the most helpful and caring person even when she is representing the “other” party.
